Classes

We have recently adapted our schedule for more specialised training.

Monday: Striking

This class focusses purely on Kudo striking skills. Striking is the corner stone of effective kudo. In this class, we exclusively focus on developing striking skills through kihon and padwork, partner drills, combative games, and of course, sparring.  This class is appropriate for all skill levels. Currently, a gi or uniform is not required for this class.

Tuesday: Integration

Tuesday classes focus on developing well-rounded Kudo practitioners with strong striking and grappling transitions. These classes help students to integrate different skillsets when solving combative problems. Goal directed sparring and combat based games are an important part of every class.

Thursday: Ne-Waza

Thursdays primarily focus on developing student’s ‘ground-game’, focussing on control and movement, applying and defending submissions and striking.

Kumite

Kumite – or sparring – classes run at a higher intensity to our regular classes. Kumite classes demand high mental and physical exertion. They pair sparring with conditioning, challenging students to develop their ‘fight IQ’ under pressure.
